An undeniable force within the visual kei scene, JILUKA has established itself in recent years as one of the genre’s most striking acts. After making its international debut in 2023 at a convention in the United States, the quartet swiftly broadened its horizons. With the launch of its own label, FAIZH MUSIC LLC, JILUKA embarked in 2024 on its world tour, “K4RMA”, marking its first-ever concerts in Europe while reconnecting with American audiences.
Building on this momentum, the band — which defines its sound as Electro Gothic Metal (EGM) — moved into an especially intense 2025 in celebration of its 10th anniversary. The year included an Asian tour alongside the metal band JINJER, followed by more than twenty dates across the United States with Swedish band Imminence. JILUKA then continued its global expansion with a new world tour, “THE KVLT”, spanning Europe, Latin America, and Asia. At the same time, the band commemorated its journey with the release of a 34-track best-of album, “XNDII”, highlighting a rich and constantly evolving style, from its earliest works to its most recent productions.

On February 6, 2026, JILUKA gathered a large crowd at Shibuya DIVE in Tokyo to celebrate its 11th anniversary with 「JLK-ANNIVERSARY 2026」. We had the honor of attending this anniversary live, an event that made all of Shibuya resonate.

It is to the notes of the SE “VI;CIOUS” that the members of JILUKA make their entrance, stepping onto the stage one by one to the audience’s enthusiastic cheers. Zyean (dr.), Boogie (ba.), and then Sena (gt.) each take a moment to greet the crowd, pausing on the central platform to absorb the fans’ energy. When Ricko (vo.) appears in turn, the applause swells even louder. Far from being satisfied, the vocalist cups his hand behind his ear, urging the crowd to scream even more, flashing a wide smile in response to the ovation. Then, carried by this wave of fervor, he officially opens the night with a resounding declaration: “It’s JILUKA’s 11th anniversary!”

The introduction of “DeViLs”, their latest single released shortly beforehand, rings out and immediately sets the tone. Sena and Boogie take their places on their respective platforms as the crowd raises their fists before launching into headbanging, driven by Ricko’s powerful growls and Sena’s blisteringly fast riffs. It is hard to believe the track is so recent, given how instant the enthusiasm feels. On an impressive pig squeal from Ricko, Boogie arches back elegantly with one arm raised, while Sena swings his guitar behind his back to grab his microphone and deliver a speed rap with remarkable precision, sparking excited cheers from an already captivated audience. Behind them, Zyean pounds his drums beneath lighting that shifts between pink and violet. The song is punctuated by sudden silences that plunge the stage into darkness, where only Sena’s guitar remains visible, its outline traced by a pink neon glow.

Ricko barely has time to shout an energetic “For the 11th year, we’re giving it our all!”, drawing a wave of screams from the crowd, before “OVERKILL” kicks in without delay. Red lighting, rapid-fire riffs, crushing growls, and violent headbanging: the venue is instantly pulled into JILUKA’s universe. Boogie handles the backing vocals, soon joined by the fans chanting “Hey! Hey!” with fists raised. To the sound of a revolver being cocked, he mimes firing at his temple before launching into a slow headbang, followed by Ricko, Sena, and then the entire audience. Behind his drums, Zyean rises to his feet, pointing his drumsticks toward the crowd, further fueling the already explosive intensity of the moment.

“Shibuya! Are you having fun?” Ricko shouts, prompting the crowd to erupt into even louder screams before “Matrix” blasts through the venue. Plunged into darkness, the room is cut only by frantic green flashes, heightening the electro edge of their EGM sound and pushing the tension up another level. Overflowing with energy, Ricko chains together jumps and headbangs, claps his hands, and moves to the front of the stage to extend his microphone toward the pit, demanding ever louder cries. At his side, Boogie raises his arms and then his bass above his head, leading the crowd in their “Hey! Hey!” chants. The two musicians ultimately turn toward Zyean to bring the song to a close with one final, crushing chord.

Never satisfied, Ricko immediately fires the crowd up again: “I can’t hear you! Louder!”, even drawing screams from the very back of the venue so as not to leave anyone out. “BaLa-DeDa”, kicks off to roaring cheers — a true staple of the band, crafted for the live stage. Sena shares the introduction with Ricko before dropping into a crouch on his platform to play. During the bridge, Boogie claps along with the audience, then Ricko thrusts his microphone toward the pit: a powerful “BaLaDeDa!” echoes back in perfect unison. The vocalist crosses the stage, moving between Boogie and Sena, flashing smiles and gesturing toward the fans. Zyean rises to clash his drumsticks together, Ricko jumps, Boogie raises his fist, Sena stretches out his arms — crowd and musicians vibrating as one, completely swept away by the song’s energy.

Feigning concern, Ricko asks the crowd whether they still have any energy left before announcing “Moksha”. Driven by Zyean’s blisteringly fast strikes that make the entire venue resonate, along with relentless strobe flashes, the track unleashes a fresh wave of headbanging and oritatami, while Ricko delivers a string of powerful growls throughout the verses. The contrast is striking when a calmer chorus emerges, sung clean under a soft golden glow. Sena raises his hand alongside the audience as they sing along, while Boogie turns toward Zyean to share a knowing, complicit moment. The song closes with a flawlessly executed solo from Sena, focused yet smiling, exchanging a few glances with the crowd.

Bathed in pink light, “KUMARI” begins as Boogie and Sena clap in rhythm with the crowd. Boogie plays with his bass held vertically against his thigh, while the audience headbangs to Sena’s rapid riffs, his fingers flying at remarkable speed along the fretboard. When the tempo becomes more measured, Zyean takes the opportunity to lock eyes with the pit, pointing his drumsticks toward the ceiling, spinning them before tossing them into the air with ease, showcasing both his technique and his power. Sena, smiling, spins around to urge the fans to clap louder, while Boogie begins a slow oritatami, his long ponytail enhancing the elegance of the movement. A suspended moment follows: Ricko sings alone beneath a halo of yellow light, the instrumental track flowing softly in the background while the rest of the stage remains in shadow. Sena and Boogie quietly mouth the lyrics to themselves, allowing the vocalist’s voice to shine in full.

Without letting the tension drop, JILUKA launches straight into “Ignite”. The entire venue jumps in rhythm while clapping along, urged on by Ricko, who multiplies his gestures to push the crowd to go higher, louder, and harder. On stage, the energy is just as intense: Sena shares the oritatami with the fans, bending forward and rising again with his guitar, while Boogie, standing atop his platform, sings the chorus with fervor, fully immersed in the moment.

The band follows with “Elice in slow motion”, immediately met with chants of “Hey! Hey!” punctuated by raised fists, as Ricko extends his microphone toward the pit before launching into a forceful headbang. Though the track may feel more measured than the previous ones, the energy never wanes: the audience has been headbanging relentlessly since the very start of the concert. During the chorus, the blistering speed of the drums contrasts sharply with Zyean’s relaxed smile, as he casually tosses and catches his drumstick with disarming ease. On stage and in the crowd alike, the enjoyment is palpable and it is hard to tell who is savoring the moment more, the musicians or the fans.

A moment of respite settles in with the ballad “Citrus”. Against a backdrop of piano and Zyean’s restrained drumming, Ricko begins the song under a soft blue light, soon joined by turquoise and then green hues as Boogie and Sena — who had remained in the background — step in. Alone at the front of the stage, Ricko fully showcases the richness of his voice, proving that he excels as much in emotion as in sheer power. Behind him, Boogie keeps time with a gentle nod of his head, while Sena taps out the rhythm with his foot. Deeply immersed, one hand resting over his chest, Ricko delivers a heartfelt performance, bringing it to a close with a long, sustained solo note that leaves the entire venue suspended in an emotional silence.

The respite is short-lived: with “Faceless”, growls and headbangs make an immediate return. Sena and Boogie reclaim the front of the stage, and the energy erupts once more, both on stage and in the pit. Ricko fires up the crowd, cupping a hand behind his ear to draw the screams ever higher, flashing a wide smile in response to the audience’s overwhelming enthusiasm.

The tension rises even higher with “Lethal Affliction”. Tireless, Ricko leaps onto his platform, leans toward the front rows, and crosses the stage from end to end to interact with as many fans as possible. Boogie strings together jumps and headbang, alternating between forward-leaning and arched-back stances, raising his bass as he shouts the backing vocals along with the crowd. Meanwhile, Sena surveys the pit with visible satisfaction, accentuating each note with broad, graceful movements, occasionally mouthing the lyrics, fully immersed in the intensity of the moment.

No sooner has the song ended than Ricko fires the crowd back up: “I can’t hear you well enough!” The band freezes to listen as the screams intensify. Sena sits down on his platform, urging the audience on with a sweep of his arm. The introduction of “S4VAGE” rings out, marked by a strikingly powerful growl from Ricko, soon joined by Zyean’s blistering speed on the drums. Sena delivers his rap with formidable precision, backed by Boogie who sings into… the headstock of his bass, while Ricko headbangs with fierce intensity. Zyean rises to his feet to watch the pit, drumsticks extended toward the crowd. During the second rap, Zyean and Boogie point toward Sena with their arms, drawing every eye to the guitarist as the venue, completely unleashed, gives it everything.

The announcement of the final song, “VENΦM”, does nothing to ease the pressure. Despite the intensity of the setlist, both the band and the crowd are still overflowing with energy. Sena strings together sharp kicks into the air, Boogie arches back to the extreme, Zyean relentlessly pounds his drums, and Ricko’s growls never falter. Right up to the final seconds, the musicians multiply their exchanges with the audience, savoring these last shared moments. Ricko ultimately thanks the crowd before the members leave the stage one by one, offering a few final gestures to their fans.

Barely off stage, the fans call for an encore — one that JILUKA grants without hesitation. The band returns to a roaring ovation, Ricko thanking the crowd before launching into “Twisted Pain”. Despite the short break, the intensity remains untouched. Ricko sings facing Zyean, exchanging a knowing smile with him, soon joined by Boogie who steps in to play opposite the drummer in turn. Sena takes over the central platform to deliver his solo with precision, while Ricko moves across the stage urging the audience to scream and Boogie heads to the right side to meet the fans. The track closes on a piercing scream from Ricko.

With their backs to the audience atop their platforms, the three musicians welcome the introduction of “Monophobia”. From the very first notes, cries rise up throughout the venue, the song was clearly highly anticipated. Even as the end draws near, the energy remains unwavering: fans jump with arms outstretched while the members swap places, exchange smiles, and sing along with Ricko. Boogie treats the crowd to a bass solo spotlighted on the central platform, as Zyean points toward him with his drumsticks and Ricko, having taken his place, highlights him with a broad grin to focus all attention his way. Sena then shines with a flawlessly executed final solo, punctuated by glances toward the audience, while Ricko urges the pit to jump ever higher.

The band takes a moment to address the audience. Ricko warmly thanks the fans for coming to celebrate this 11th anniversary, then passes the microphone to Zyean, Boogie, and Sena, each sharing a few words and memories of their own. To everyone’s surprise, several people are attending their very first JILUKA concert that evening. Boogie recalls their first gig, a taiban at Ikebukuro Cyber eleven years ago, emphasizing that their journey is, above all, the result of the fans’ unwavering support. Zyean offers his thanks with a familiarity that draws laughter from the crowd, immediately picked up on by Ricko. Sena expresses his gratitude in turn, even joking about a future 111th anniversary. Ricko concludes by mentioning the many projects to come, before rallying the venue one last time: the night will end as it began, with “DeViLs”.

For this final assault, band and audience alike double their intensity, as if trying to hold back time and stretch out these last fleeting moments. Driven by rapid riffs, the song sparks incredible fervor for a track that has only just been released. Sena arches back before spinning on himself, while Ricko screams, leaning forcefully backward. During the bridge, Ricko headbangs powerfully, joined by Sena facing Zyean in a charged exchange. For the rap section, Sena crouches on his platform with the microphone in hand, then rises to accent his flow with assertive gestures, ultimately tossing the mic behind him. Zyean stands, Boogie urges the crowd to clap along, and the energy reaches its peak. Between Boogie’s arched movements, Sena’s raised arm perfectly synchronized with the audience, and his final riff sealed with a sincere smile, JILUKA brings the night to a close with intensity and joy fully shared.

Ricko brings the live to a close with a heartfelt “Thank you so much!”, expressing his gratitude to the audience several times, visibly moved by the warm reception. Sena, shading his eyes with his hand, scans the venue as if trying to etch every image into memory, while Boogie waves to the fans. The members then turn toward Zyean for one final chord, resounding, almost explosive. “Thank you!!” Ricko calls out once more before stepping forward, hand cupped behind his ear, drawing one last deafening scream from the crowd. They all return to their platforms to offer a final bow under thunderous applause. Ricko pushes the volume of the cheers up one last time, and then the members leave the stage one by one, leaving behind a completely won-over audience.

JILUKA celebrated its 11th anniversary in the best possible way, and the band is showing no signs of slowing down. The year 2026 is already shaping up to be a busy one, with the announcement of a new world tour, “DeViLs”, set to kick off in May in the United States. While not all dates have been revealed yet, a stop in Europe has already been confirmed. The band is notably scheduled to appear at B7KLAN J-ROCK FES in France on July 12. All in all, plenty of opportunities not to be missed to see — or see again — JILUKA live on stage.

Figure incontournable de la scène visual kei, JILUKA s’est imposé ces dernières années comme l’un des groupes les plus marquants. Après des débuts à l’international en 2023 lors d’une convention aux États-Unis, le quatuor ne tarde pas à élargir ses horizons. Avec la création de son propre label, FAIZH MUSIC LLC, JILUKA lance en 2024 sa tournée mondiale “K4RMA”, marquant ses premiers concerts en Europe tout en retrouvant le public américain.
Porté par cet élan, le groupe — qui se définit comme Electro Gothic Metal (EGM) — enchaîne sur une année 2025 particulièrement dense à l’occasion de son 10e anniversaire : une tournée asiatique aux côtés du groupe de metal JINJER, puis plus de vingt dates à travers les États-Unis en compagnie du groupe suédois Imminence. JILUKA poursuit ensuite sur sa lancée avec une nouvelle tournée mondiale, “THE KVLT”, traversant l’Europe, l’Amérique latine et l’Asie. En parallèle, le groupe célèbre son parcours avec la sortie d’un best-of de 34 titres, XNDII, mettant en lumière un style riche et en constante évolution, de ses débuts à ses productions les plus récentes.

Le 6 février 2026, JILUKA a réuni une foule nombreuse au Shibuya DIVE à Tokyo pour célébrer son 11e anniversaire lors du 「JLK-ANNIVERSARY 2026」. Nous avons eu l’honneur d’assister à ce live anniversaire qui a fait vibrer tout Shibuya.

C’est sur les notes de la SE VI;CIOUS que les membres de JILUKA font leur entrée, montant sur scène un à un sous les cris enthousiastes du public. Zyean (dr.), Boogie (ba.) puis Sena (gt.) saluent tour à tour la salle, prenant quelques instants sur la plateforme centrale pour capter l’énergie des fans. Lorsque Ricko (vo.) apparaît à son tour, les acclamations redoublent. Le chanteur, loin de s’en contenter, place sa main derrière son oreille pour inviter la foule à crier encore plus fort, affichant un large sourire face à l’ovation. Puis, porté par cette ferveur, il lance officiellement la soirée d’un retentissant : « C’est le 11e anniversaire de JILUKA ! »

L’introduction de DeViLs, leur dernier single sorti peu auparavant, retentit et impose d’emblée l’ambiance. Sena et Boogie gagnent leurs plateformes, tandis que la foule lève le poing avant d’enchaîner les headbangs, portée par les growls puissants de Ricko et les riffs incroyablement rapides de Sena. Difficile de croire que le titre est si récent tant l’enthousiasme est immédiat. Sur un pig squeal impressionnant de Ricko, Boogie se cambre avec élégance, bras levé, pendant que Sena passe sa guitare derrière son dos pour saisir son micro et livrer un rap rapide, d’une précision remarquable, déclenchant les cris enthousiastes d’un public déjà conquis. Derrière eux, Zyean martèle sa batterie sous des lumières oscillant entre rose et violet. Le morceau est ponctué de silences soudains plongeant la scène dans l’obscurité, où seule la guitare de Sena se dessine, soulignée par un néon rose qui en trace les contours.

Ricko lance à peine un énergique « Pour la 11e année, on va se donner à fond ! », récoltant une salve de cris, que OVERKILL démarre sans attendre. Lumière rouge, riffs rapides, growls puissants et headbangs violents : la salle est instantanément happée dans l’univers de JILUKA. Boogie assure les chœurs, bientôt rejoint par le public qui scande « Hey ! Hey ! » le poing levé. Au son d’un revolver que l’on arme, il mime un tir à la tempe avant d’entamer un headbang lent, suivi par Ricko, Sena, puis toute la salle. Derrière sa batterie, Zyean se lève pour pointer la foule de ses baguettes, attisant encore davantage l’intensité déjà explosive du moment.

« Shibuya ! Vous vous amusez ? » lance Ricko, poussant la salle à redoubler de cris avant que Matrix ne retentisse. Plongée dans l’obscurité, la salle n’est traversée que par des flashes verts frénétiques, accentuant la dimension electro de leur EGM et faisant grimper la tension d’un cran. Débordant d’énergie, Ricko enchaîne sauts et headbangs, frappe dans ses mains et vient sur le devant de la scène pour tendre son micro vers la fosse afin d’arracher toujours plus de cris. À ses côtés, Boogie lève les bras puis sa basse au-dessus de lui, menant les « Hey ! Hey » scandés par le public. Les deux musiciens se tournent finalement vers Zyean pour conclure le titre dans un ultime accord percutant.

Jamais rassasié, Ricko relance aussitôt la foule : « Je ne vous entends pas ! Plus fort ! », allant même chercher les cris jusqu’au fond de la salle pour n’oublier personne. BaLa-DeDa démarre sous les acclamations — un incontournable du groupe, taillé pour le live. Sena partage l’introduction avec Ricko avant de jouer accroupi sur sa plateforme. Sur le pont, Boogie frappe dans ses mains avec le public, puis Ricko tend son micro vers la fosse : un puissant « BaLaDeDa ! » résonne à l’unisson. Le chanteur traverse la scène, alternant entre Boogie et Sena, multipliant sourires et gestes vers les fans. Zyean se lève pour entrechoquer ses baguettes, Ricko saute, Boogie lève le poing, Sena tend les bras : salle et musiciens vibrent ensemble, totalement emportés par l’énergie du morceau.

Feignant l’inquiétude, Ricko demande à la salle si elle a encore de l’énergie avant d’annoncer Moksha. Porté par les frappes extrêmement rapides de Zyean qui font résonner la salle toute entière et des flashes lumineux incessants, le morceau déclenche une nouvelle vague de headbangs et d’oritatami, tandis que Ricko enchaîne les growls puissants sur les couplets. Le contraste est saisissant avec un refrain plus calme, chanté en clean sous une lumière diffuse dorée. Sena lève la main avec le public en reprenant le refrain, tandis que Boogie se tourne vers Zyean pour partager un moment complice. Le titre s’achève sur un solo parfaitement maîtrisé de Sena, concentré mais souriant, échangeant quelques regards avec la foule.

Sous une lumière rose, KUMARI débute tandis que Boogie et Sena frappent dans leurs mains en rythme avec la foule. Boogie joue, sa basse à la verticale, appuyée sur sa cuisse, pendant que le public headbang au son des riffs rapides de Sena, dont les doigts filent à une vitesse impressionnante sur le manche. Lorsque le tempo se fait plus mesuré, Zyean en profite pour fixer la fosse, pointant le plafond de ses baguettes, les faisant tournoyer puis les lançant en l’air avec aisance, démontrant autant sa technique que sa puissance. Sena, sourire aux lèvres, tourne sur lui-même pour encourager les fans à applaudir plus fort, tandis que Boogie entame un oritatami lent, sa longue queue de cheval accentuant l’élégance du mouvement. Moment suspendu : Ricko chante seul sous un halo de lumière jaune, la piste instrumentale en fond, tandis que le reste de la scène demeure dans l’ombre. Sena et Boogie murmurent les paroles pour eux-mêmes, laissant la voix du chanteur briller pleinement.

Sans laisser retomber la pression, JILUKA enchaîne avec Ignite. La salle saute en cadence en frappant dans ses mains, encouragée par Ricko qui multiplie les gestes pour pousser le public à aller toujours plus haut, toujours plus fort. Sur scène, l’énergie est tout aussi intense : Sena partage les oritatami avec les fans, se penchant puis se redressant avec sa guitare, tandis que Boogie, debout sur sa plateforme, chante le refrain avec ferveur, pleinement immergé dans le moment.

Le groupe enchaîne avec Elice in slow motion, aussitôt accompagné de « Hey ! Hey ! » scandés poing levé, Ricko tendant son micro vers la fosse avant de headbanguer avec force. Si le titre paraît plus mesuré que les précédents, l’énergie ne faiblit pas : le public continue de headbanguer sans relâche depuis le début du concert. Sur le refrain, la rapidité impressionnante de la batterie contraste avec le sourire détendu de Zyean, qui s’amuse à lancer puis rattraper sa baguette avec une facilité déconcertante. Sur scène comme dans la salle, le plaisir est palpable — difficile de dire qui, des musiciens ou des fans, savoure le plus l’instant.

Un moment de répit s’installe avec la ballade Citrus. Sur un fond de piano et une batterie discrète de Zyean, Ricko entame le morceau sous une lumière bleue, bientôt rejointe par des teintes turquoise puis vertes lorsque Boogie et Sena, restés en retrait, se joignent à lui. Seul à l’avant-scène, Ricko met pleinement en valeur la richesse de sa voix, prouvant qu’il excelle autant dans l’émotion que dans la puissance. Derrière lui, Boogie accompagne le rythme d’un léger mouvement de tête, Sena bat la mesure du pied. Habité, main posée sur la poitrine, Ricko livre une interprétation sincère, conclue par une longue note tenue en solo, suspendant la salle dans un silence ému.

La parenthèse aura été brève : avec Faceless, growls et headbangs font un retour immédiat. Sena et Boogie reprennent l’avant-scène, et l’énergie explose de nouveau, aussi bien sur scène que dans la fosse. Ricko motive la foule, main derrière l’oreille pour pousser les cris toujours plus haut, affichant un large sourire face à l’enthousiasme du public.

La tension grimpe encore avec Lethal Affliction. Ricko, infatigable, saute sur sa plateforme, se penche vers les premiers rangs et traverse la scène de part en part pour interagir avec un maximum de fans. Boogie enchaîne sauts et headbangs, alternant entre positions penchées vers l’avant et cambrées en arrière, levant sa basse tout en hurlant les chœurs avec le public. De son côté, Sena observe la fosse avec satisfaction, accompagnant chaque note de mouvements amples et gracieux, reprenant parfois les paroles, pleinement immergé dans l’intensité du moment.

À peine le morceau terminé, Ricko relance la foule : « Je ne vous entends pas bien ! » Le groupe se fige pour écouter les cris redoubler. Sena s’assoit sur sa plateforme, encourageant le public d’un geste du bras. L’introduction de S4VAGE retentit, marquée par un growl de Ricko d’une puissance saisissante, bientôt rejoint par la rapidité extrême de Zyean à la batterie. Sena délivre son rap avec une précision redoutable, soutenu par Boogie qui chante dans… la tête de sa basse, tandis que Ricko headbang avec intensité. Zyean se lève pour observer la fosse, baguettes tendues vers le public. Lors du second rap, Zyean et Boogie désignent Sena du bras, braquant tous les regards sur le guitariste, alors que la salle, totalement déchaînée, donne tout.

L’annonce du dernier morceau, VENΦM, ne fait en rien retomber la pression. Malgré l’intensité de la setlist, groupe et public débordent encore d’énergie. Sena enchaîne les coups de pied dans le vide, Boogie se cambre à l’extrême, Zyean martèle sa batterie sans relâche, et les growls de Ricko ne faiblissent pas. Jusqu’aux dernières secondes, les musiciens multiplient les échanges avec la foule pour savourer ces ultimes instants de partage. Ricko remercie finalement le public, avant que les membres ne quittent la scène un à un, adressant quelques derniers gestes à leurs fans.

À peine sortis de scène, les fans réclament un rappel que JILUKA accorde sans hésiter. Le groupe revient sous une ovation nourrie, Ricko remerciant la salle avant de lancer Twisted Pain. Malgré la courte pause, l’intensité est intacte. Ricko chante face à Zyean, échangeant un sourire complice, bientôt rejoint par Boogie qui vient jouer à son tour face au batteur. Sena investit la plateforme centrale pour exécuter son solo avec précision, tandis que Ricko parcourt la scène pour exhorter la foule à crier et que Boogie va à la rencontre des fans côté droit. Le titre s’achève sur un cri saisissant de Ricko.

Dos au public sur leurs plateformes, les trois musiciens accueillent l’introduction de Monophobia. Dès les premières notes, la salle explose, le titre était visiblement très attendu. Bien que la fin approche, l’énergie reste intacte : les fans sautent, bras tendus, tandis que les membres échangent leurs places, sourient et reprennent les paroles aux côtés de Ricko. Boogie s’offre un solo de basse mis en lumière sur la plateforme centrale, Zyean le désignant de ses baguettes pendant que Ricko, ayant pris sa place, le pointe du doigt avec un large sourire pour focaliser l’attention sur lui. Sena brille à son tour avec un solo final parfaitement maîtrisé, ponctué de regards vers le public, tandis que Ricko encourage la fosse à sauter toujours plus haut.

Le groupe marque une pause pour s’adresser au public. Ricko remercie chaleureusement les fans d’être venus célébrer ce 11e anniversaire, puis laisse la parole à Zyean, Boogie et Sena, chacun partageant quelques mots et souvenirs. À la surprise générale, plusieurs personnes assistent à leur tout premier concert de JILUKA ce soir-là. Boogie rappelle leurs débuts lors d’un taiban au Ikebukuro Cyber, il y a onze ans, soulignant que leur parcours est avant tout le fruit du soutien du public. Zyean remercie avec une familiarité qui déclenche les rires du public, immédiatement relevée par Ricko. Sena exprime à son tour sa gratitude, plaisantant même sur un futur 111e anniversaire. Ricko conclut en évoquant les nombreux projets à venir, avant de relancer la salle une dernière fois : la soirée s’achèvera comme elle a commencé, avec DeViLs.

Pour ce dernier assaut avec DeViLs, groupe et public redoublent d’intensité, comme pour retenir le temps et prolonger ces ultimes instants. Porté par des riffs rapides, le morceau déclenche une ferveur incroyable pour un titre tout juste sorti. Sena se cambre puis tourne sur lui-même, tandis que Ricko crie en se penchant en arrière avec force. Pendant le pont, Ricko headbangue puissamment, rejoint par Sena face à Zyean dans un échange énergique. Lors du rap, Sena s’accroupit sur sa plateforme, micro en main, avant de se relever et ponctuer son flow de gestes affirmés, lançant finalement son micro derrière lui. Zyean se lève, Boogie encourage le public à frapper dans les mains, et l’énergie atteint son apogée. Entre les mouvements cambrés de Boogie, le bras levé de Sena en parfaite synchronisation avec la foule et son riff final conclu par un sourire sincère, JILUKA clôt la soirée avec une intensité et un plaisir pleinement partagés.

Ricko conclut le live d’un chaleureux « Merci beaucoup ! », remerciant le public à plusieurs reprises, visiblement touché par l’accueil reçu. Sena, main en visière, scrute la salle comme pour en graver chaque image, tandis que Boogie salue les fans d’un geste de la main. Les membres se tournent ensuite vers Zyean pour un accord final, retentissant, presque explosif. « Merci !! » lance encore Ricko avant de s’avancer, main derrière l’oreille, arrachant un ultime cri à la salle. Tous rejoignent alors les plateformes pour saluer une dernière fois sous les acclamations. Ricko fait monter le volume des cris une dernière fois, puis les membres quittent la scène un à un, laissant derrière eux une salle conquise.

JILUKA a célébré son 11e anniversaire de la plus belle des manières, et le groupe est loin de ralentir la cadence. L’année 2026 s’annonce déjà chargée, avec l’annonce d’une nouvelle tournée mondiale, “DeViLs”, qui débutera en mai aux États-Unis. Si toutes les dates n’ont pas encore été révélées, un passage par l’Europe est d’ores et déjà prévu. Le groupe sera notamment présent au B7KLAN J-ROCK FES en France le 12 juillet. Autant d’occasions à ne pas manquer pour (re)voir JILUKA sur scène.

JILUKA ist eine unbestreitbare Größe in der Visual-Kei-Szene und hat sich in den letzten Jahren als einer der auffälligsten Acts des Genres etabliert. Nach seinem internationalen Debüt 2023 auf einer Convention in den Vereinigten Staaten erweiterte das Quartett rasch seinen Horizont. Mit der Gründung ihres eigenen Labels FAIZH MUSIC LLC starteten JILUKA 2024 ihre Welttournee „K4RMA“, bei der sie zum ersten Mal in Europa auftraten und gleichzeitig wieder Kontakt zum amerikanischen Publikum aufnahmen.
Auf dieser Dynamik aufbauend, startete die Band, die ihren Sound als Electro Gothic Metal (EGM) definiert, in ein besonders intensives Jahr 2025, in dem sie ihr zehnjähriges Jubiläum feierte. Das Jahr umfasste eine Asientournee zusammen mit der Metal-Band JINJER, gefolgt von mehr als 20 Terminen in den Vereinigten Staaten mit der schwedischen Band Imminence. JILUKA setzten dann ihre globale Expansion mit einer neuen Welttournee namens „THE KVLT“ fort, die Europa, Lateinamerika und Asien umfasste. Gleichzeitig feierte die Band ihre Reise mit der Veröffentlichung eines 34 Titel umfassenden Best-of-Albums namens „XNDII“, das ihren reichhaltigen und sich ständig weiterentwickelnden Stil von ihren frühesten Werken bis zu ihren neuesten Produktionen unterstreicht.

Am 6. Februar 2026 versammelten JILUKA eine große Menschenmenge im Shibuya DIVE in Tokio, um mit „JLK-ANNIVERSARY 2026“ ihr elfjähriges Jubiläum zu feiern. Wir hatten die Ehre, an diesem Jubiläums-Live-Konzert teilzunehmen, einem Ereignis, das ganz Shibuya in Aufruhr versetzte.

Zu den Klängen des SE „VI;CIOUS“ betreten die Mitglieder von JILUKA nacheinander die Bühne und werden vom Publikum mit begeisterten Jubelrufen empfangen. Zyean (Dr.), Boogie (Ba.) und dann Sena (Gt.) nehmen sich jeweils einen Moment Zeit, um das Publikum zu begrüßen, und halten auf der zentralen Plattform inne, um die Energie der Fans aufzunehmen. Als Ricko (Vo.) erscheint, wird der Applaus noch lauter. Der Sänger gibt sich damit jedoch nicht zufrieden, sondern legt seine Hand hinter sein Ohr, fordert das Publikum auf, noch lauter zu jubeln, und antwortet auf die Ovationen mit einem breiten Lächeln. Dann eröffnet er, getragen von dieser Welle der Begeisterung, den Abend offiziell mit einer lautstarken Erklärung: „Es ist der 11. Jahrestag von JILUKA!“

Die Einleitung zu „DeViLs“, ihrer kurz zuvor veröffentlichten neuesten Single, ertönt und gibt sofort den Ton an. Sena und Boogie nehmen ihre Plätze auf ihren jeweiligen Podesten ein, während das Publikum die Fäuste in die Luft reckt, bevor es zum Headbanging ansetzt, angetrieben von Rickos kraftvollem Growling und Senas rasend schnellen Riffs. Angesichts der sofortigen Begeisterung ist es kaum zu glauben, dass der Track so neu ist. Zu einem beeindruckenden Pig Scream von Ricko beugt sich Boogie elegant mit einem Arm nach oben gereckt zurück, während Sena seine Gitarre hinter den Rücken schwingt, um sein Mikrofon zu greifen und einen rasanten Rap mit bemerkenswerter Präzision zu liefern, der begeisterte Jubelrufe bei dem bereits faszinierten Publikum hervorruft. Hinter ihnen hämmert Zyean unter einem zwischen Rosa und Violett wechselnden Licht auf sein Schlagzeug ein. Der Song wird von plötzlichen Pausen unterbrochen, die die Bühne in Dunkelheit tauchen, sodass nur noch Senas Gitarre zu sehen ist; deren Umrisse werden von einem rosa Neonlicht nachgezeichnet.

Ricko hat kaum Zeit, ein energisches „In unserem elften Jahr geben wir alles!“ zu rufen, das eine Welle von Schreien aus der Menge hervorruft, bevor „OVERKILL“ ohne Verzögerung einsetzt. Rotes Licht, rasante Riffs, knallharte Growls und heftiges Headbangen: Der Veranstaltungsort wird augenblicklich in das Universum von JILUKA hineingezogen. Boogie übernimmt den Hintergrundgesang, bald darauf stimmen die Fans mit erhobenen Fäusten und „Hey! Hey!“ ein. Zum Klang eines gespannten Revolvers mimt er, wie er sich in die Schläfe schießt, bevor er mit langsamem Headbanging beginnt, gefolgt von Ricko, Sena und schließlich dem gesamten Publikum. Hinter seinem Schlagzeug steht Zyean auf, richtet seine Drumsticks auf die Menge und heizt die ohnehin schon explosive Stimmung weiter an.

„Shibuya! Habt ihr Spaß?“, ruft Ricko und bringt die Menge dazu, noch lauter zu schreien, bevor „Matrix“ durch den Saal dröhnt. Der Raum ist in Dunkelheit getaucht und wird nur von hektischen grünen Blitzen durchbrochen, was den Electro-Charakter ihres EGM-Sounds verstärkt und die Spannung noch weiter steigert. Voller Energie springt Ricko, headbangt, klatscht in die Hände und bewegt sich an den vorderen Rand der Bühne, um sein Mikrofon in Richtung Pit zu strecken und noch lautere Schreie zu fordern. An seiner Seite hebt Boogie seine Arme und dann seinen Bass über den Kopf und führt die Menge in ihren „Hey! Hey!“-Sprechchören an. Die beiden Musiker wenden sich schließlich Zyean zu, um den Song mit einem letzten harten Akkord zu beenden.

Noch nicht zufrieden, heizt Ricko die Menge sofort wieder an: „Ich kann euch nicht hören! Lauter!“, und bringt sogar Fans aus dem hintersten Teil des Veranstaltungsortes dazu, zu schreien. „BaLa-DeDa“ beginnt unter tosendem Jubel – ein echter Klassiker der Band, der wie geschaffen für die Live-Bühne ist. Sena teilt sich die Einleitung mit Ricko, bevor er sich auf seiner Plattform in die Hocke begibt, um zu spielen. Während der Bridge klatscht Boogie zusammen mit dem Publikum, dann streckt Ricko sein Mikrofon in Richtung Pit: Ein kraftvolles „BaLa-DeDa!“ hallt in perfekter Einheit zurück. Der Sänger überquert die Bühne, bewegt sich zwischen Boogie und Sena hin und her, lächelt und gestikuliert den Fans zu. Zyean steht auf, um seine Drumsticks aneinanderzuschlagen, Ricko springt, Boogie reckt die Faust in die Höhe, Sena streckt die Arme aus – Publikum und Musiker vibrieren als ein großes Ganzes, völlig mitgerissen von der Energie des Songs.

Ricko gibt vor, besorgt zu sein, und fragt das Publikum, ob es noch Energie übrig hat, bevor er „Moksha“ ankündigt. Angetrieben von Zyeans rasanten Schlägen, die den gesamten Veranstaltungsort zum Beben bringen, und begleitet von unerbittlichen Stroboskopblitzen, löst der Track eine neue Welle von Headbanging und Oritatami aus, während Ricko in den Strophen eine Reihe kraftvoller Growls zum Besten gibt. Der Kontrast ist auffällig, als ein ruhigerer Refrain einsetzt, der unter einem sanften goldenen Schein klar gesungen wird. Sena hebt seine Hand zusammen mit dem Publikum, während dieses mitsingt, während Boogie sich zu Zyean umdreht, um einen wissenden, verschwörerischen Moment zu teilen. Der Song endet mit einem makellos ausgeführten Solo von Sena, der konzentriert ist, aber lächelt und ein paar Blicke mit dem Publikum austauscht.

In rosa Licht getaucht beginnt „KUMARI“, während Boogie und Sena im Rhythmus mit dem Publikum klatschen. Der gesamte Saal springt im Rhythmus und klatscht mit, angefeuert von Ricko, der mit seinen Gesten die Menge dazu anspornt, noch höher, lauter und heftiger zu jubeln. Auf der Bühne ist die Energie ebenso intensiv: Sena teilt die Oritatami mit den Fans, beugt sich mit seiner Gitarre nach vorne und richtet sich wieder auf, während Boogie, der auf seiner Plattform steht, den Refrain mit Inbrunst singt und sich ganz dem Moment hingibt.

Die Band spielt als Nächstes „Elice in slow motion“, woraufhin sofort „Hey! Hey!“-Rufe zu hören und erhobene Fäuste zu sehen sind, während Ricko sein Mikrofon in Richtung Pit streckt, bevor er mit kraftvollem Headbanging loslegt. Auch wenn der Track gemächlicher wirkt als die vorherigen, lässt die Energie nie nach: Das Publikum headbangt seit Beginn des Konzerts unermüdlich. Während des Refrains steht die rasante Geschwindigkeit des Schlagzeugs in starkem Kontrast zu Zyeans entspanntem Lächeln, der lässig und mit entwaffnender Leichtigkeit seine Drumsticks wirft und fängt. Sowohl auf der Bühne als auch in der Menge ist die Freude spürbar, und es ist schwer zu sagen, wer den Moment mehr genießt – die Musiker oder die Fans.

Mit der Ballade „Citrus“ kehrt für einen Moment Ruhe ein. Vor dem Hintergrund von Klavier und Zyeans zurückhaltendem Schlagzeugspiel beginnt Ricko den Song unter einem sanften blauen Licht, zu dem bald türkise und dann grüne Farbtöne hinzukommen, als Boogie und Sena – die bisher im Hintergrund geblieben waren – hinzukommen. Allein vorne auf der Bühne zeigt Ricko die ganze Bandbreite seiner Stimme und beweist, dass er sowohl in Sachen Emotion als auch in Sachen reiner Kraft brilliert. Hinter ihm hält Boogie mit einem sanften Nicken seines Kopfes den Takt, während Sena mit dem Fuß den Rhythmus klopft. Tief versunken, eine Hand auf der Brust ruhend, liefert Ricko eine aufrichtige Darbietung und beendet sie mit einer langen, anhaltenden Solonote, die den gesamten Veranstaltungsort in emotionaler Stille zurücklässt.

Die Atempause ist nur von kurzer Dauer: Mit „Faceless“ kehren Growls und Headbanging sofort zurück. Sena und Boogie erobern die Vorderseite der Bühne zurück und die Energie bricht erneut aus, sowohl auf der Bühne als auch im Pit. Ricko heizt der Menge ein, legt eine Hand hinter sein Ohr, um die Schreie noch lauter zu machen, und antwortet auf die überwältigende Begeisterung des Publikums mit einem breiten Lächeln.

Mit „Lethal Affliction“ steigt die Spannung noch weiter. Unermüdlich springt Ricko auf seine Plattform, beugt sich zu den vorderen Reihen hinunter und überquert die Bühne von einem Ende zum anderen, um mit so vielen Fans wie möglich zu interagieren. Boogie reiht Sprünge und Headbanging aneinander, wechselt zwischen nach vorne und zurückgeneigter Haltung und hebt seinen Bass, während er zusammen mit dem Publikum den Hintergrundgesang schreit. Währenddessen blickt Sena sichtlich zufrieden über das Pit, betont jede Note mit ausladenden, anmutigen Bewegungen, singt gelegentlich den Text mit und taucht vollständig in die Intensität des Augenblicks ein.

Kaum ist der Song zu Ende, heizt Ricko dem Publikum wieder ein: „Ich kann euch nicht gut genug hören!“ Die Band hält inne, um zuzuhören, während die Schreie lauter werden. Sena setzt sich auf seine Plattform und spornt das Publikum mit einer Armbewegung an. Die Einleitung zu „S4VAGE“ ertönt, geprägt von Rickos markantem, kraftvollem Growl, zu dem sich bald Zyeans rasante Drumbeats gesellen. Sena liefert seinen Rap mit beeindruckender Präzision, unterstützt von Boogie, der in den Kopf seiner Bassgitarre singt, während Ricko intensiv headbangt. Zyean steht auf, um das Pit zu beobachten, die Drumsticks in Richtung Publikum ausgestreckt. Während des zweiten Raps zeigen Zyean und Boogie mit ihren Armen auf Sena und lenken alle Blicke auf den Gitarristen, während das Publikum völlig ausflippt und alles gibt.

Die Ankündigung des letzten Songs, „VENΦM“, mindert die Spannung nicht im Geringsten. Trotz der Intensität der Setlist strotzen sowohl die Band als auch das Publikum noch immer vor Energie. Sena reiht scharfe Kicks in die Luft, Boogie beugt sich extrem nach hinten, Zyean hämmert unerbittlich auf sein Schlagzeug und Rickos Growls lassen nie nach. Bis zu den letzten Sekunden intensivieren die Musiker ihren Austausch mit dem Publikum und genießen diese letzten gemeinsamen Momente. Ricko bedankt sich schließlich bei den Zuschauern, bevor die Bandmitglieder nacheinander die Bühne verlassen und ihren Fans ein paar letzte Gesten widmen.

Kaum von der Bühne verschwunden, fordern die Fans eine Zugabe – die JILUKA ohne zu zögern gewähren. Die Band kehrt unter tosendem Applaus zurück, Ricko bedankt sich beim Publikum, bevor er mit „Twisted Pain“ loslegt. Trotz der kurzen Pause bleibt die Intensität ungebrochen. Mit dem Rücken zum Publikum auf ihren Plattformen warten die drei Musiker die Einleitung von „Monophobia“ ab. Von den ersten Tönen an erheben sich Schreie im gesamten Saal, der Song wurde offensichtlich mit Spannung erwartet. Selbst als das Ende naht, bleibt die Energie ungebrochen: Die Fans springen mit ausgestreckten Armen, während die Bandmitglieder die Plätze tauschen, sich anlächeln und mit Ricko mitsingen. Boogie verwöhnt das Publikum mit einem Bass-Solo auf der zentralen Plattform, während Zyean mit seinen Drumsticks auf ihn zeigt und Ricko, der seinen Platz eingenommen hat, mit einem breiten Grinsen auf ihn deutet, um die gesamte Aufmerksamkeit auf ihn zu lenken. Ricko steigert die Lautstärke der Jubelrufe erneut, dann verlassen die Mitglieder nacheinander die Bühne und hinterlassen ein völlig begeistertes Publikum.

JILUKA feierten ihr elfjähriges Jubiläum auf die bestmögliche Weise, und die Band zeigt keine Anzeichen, sich darauf auszuruhen. Das Jahr 2026 verspricht bereits jetzt, ein arbeitsreiches Jahr zu werden, denn im Mai startet die neue Welttournee „DeViLs“ in den Vereinigten Staaten. Zwar sind noch nicht alle Termine bekannt, aber ein Stopp in Europa ist bereits bestätigt: Die Band wird am 12. Juli beim B7KLAN J-ROCK FES in Frankreich auftreten. Alles in allem gibt es also zahlreiche Gelegenheiten, JILUKA live auf der Bühne zu sehen – oder wiederzusehen –, die man nicht verpassen sollte.
