TAKERU, former vocalist of the iconic band SuG and now a solo artist, marked a new milestone in his career with a sold-out concert at Tokyo's Ebisu LIQUIDROOM on May 11th, 2025. The show marked not only his 18-year career in music, but also his personal birthday, which he celebrated on stage in front of a sold-out audience. And to cap off this memorable evening, several major announcements were made.
The most eagerly awaited? The release of “BIBLE”, his very first album under the name TAKERU, scheduled for July 14th, 2025. A truly far-reaching project, the artist describes it as an essential work for getting through chaotic times, going so far as to call it a “bible” in chaotic times when faith is scarce. He even declares on his X account: “If you don't have anything to believe in, believe in me. I'll be your religion.”
Fans can now pre-order a limited edition first press (¥18,000) available until May 25th on his online store. This collector's edition will include :
- A CD with around 13 tracks
- A Blu-ray with excerpts from the anniversary concert and an exclusive documentary on the album's creation (approx. 60 min)
- An exclusive T-shirt
- A QR code to download the album's instrumental tracks
TAKERU doesn't stop there. He's getting ready to embark on the “武瑠 TOUR 2025 BIBLE”, the biggest tour of his career: 27 dates, 13 countries. In addition to Japan, he will also stop off in Latin America in August, and in Europe in September, alongside Verde/ project. The final will be held on November 30th at Osaka FanJ Twice, and there's more to come: TAKERU will celebrate 19 years in the music business with a one-man concert titled “CEREMONY”, scheduled for January 12th, 2026 at Spotify O-EAST in Tokyo.
