A wind of mystery is blowing across the Japanese music scene with the arrival of Yakouchuu, formed by Yakumo (Haro, ex-Belle) on vocals and Taizo (ex-Belle) on guitar, an artistic project as enigmatic as it is fascinating. Appearing without warning last February, this singular entity blends music, visuals and narrative to build a unique universe.
Underpinned by an intriguing concept dubbed “secret back-alley cyber club”, Yakouchuu offers an original approach to sound, where rock, acoustic and EDM meet. The whole is enhanced by Yakumo's warm, singular voice, which moves between gentle narration and dramatic intensity. This hybrid style is on full display in their latest music video, “混蟲LESSTRANCE” (Konchuu LESSTRANCE), freshly unveiled on their official YouTube channel.
The video stands out for its disturbing, dreamlike aesthetic, enhanced by the exchanges between Yakumo (vo.) and Taizo (gt.). The visual atmosphere, somewhere between surrealism and novel noir, captivates as much as it destabilizes. The band will be performing their 2nd one-man show on May 24th at Tokyo's Ikebukuro EDGE, a not-to-be-missed opportunity to discover the world of Yakouchuu!
