Internationally acclaimed Japanese heavy rock band D’ESPAIRSRAY have officially released their long-awaited new single “RAPTURE” on May 13, marking the band’s first new single release in 16 years.
Following their shocking reunion announcement in 2025, D’ESPAIRSRAY have rapidly reignited global attention. Their one-man performance scheduled for May 4, 2026 at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo sold out six months in advance, reaffirming the band’s enduring international fanbase and influence within the visual kei and heavy rock scenes.
Now, with the release of “RAPTURE”, D’ESPAIRSRAY enter a bold new era. Blending crushing riffs, relentless rhythms, and HIZUMI’s signature vocals, the track delivers a powerful statement of rebirth and defiance while staying true to the sound that established D’ESPAIRSRAY as one of the defining names in the international visual kei and heavy music scene.
The official music video for “RAPTURE” has also been released, delivering a powerful visual statement to accompany the band’s long-awaited return.

The release also comes alongside the announcement of D’ESPAIRSRAY’s first-ever performances in both Mexico and Chile in February 2027, marking another major milestone in the band’s global expansion.
Before that, D’ESPAIRSRAY will also reunite with its European audience through a confirmed appearance at the B7KLAN J-ROCK FEST in France in July 2026. The band will then continue its overseas activities with a concert scheduled in Hong Kong in November 2026.
Finally, the members will close out the year with a one-man concert on December 30, 2026, held near Tokyo, bringing to an end a particularly significant year on stage.

Formed in Tokyo in 1999, D’ESPAIRSRAY became one of the pioneering Japanese visual kei and heavy rock acts to establish a strong international presence in the 2000s. Depuis l’annonce choc de leur retour en 2025, D’ESPAIRSRAY a rapidement ravivé l’attention du public mondial. Leur one-man qui a eu lieu le 4 mai 2026 au Zepp DiverCity Tokyo s’est sold out six mois à l’avance, confirmant l’influence du groupe et la fidélité de sa fanbase internationale au sein des scènes visual kei et hard rock.

Cette sortie s’accompagne également de l’annonce des tout premiers concerts de D’ESPAIRSRAY au Mexique et au Chili en février 2027, marquant une nouvelle étape majeure dans l’expansion internationale du groupe.
Avant cela, D’ESPAIRSRAY retrouvera également son public européen avec une participation confirmée au B7KLAN J-ROCK FEST en France en juillet 2026. Le groupe poursuivra ensuite ses activités à l’étranger avec un concert prévu à Hong Kong en novembre 2026.
Enfin, les membres clôtureront l’année avec un concert one-man le 30 décembre 2026, organisé près de Tokyo, pour conclure cette année particulièrement marquante sur scène.
