On June 20, 2025, lynch. wrapped up their TOUR'25 “UNDERNEATH THE GREED” tour with a sold-out concert at Spotify O-EAST in Tokyo. The tour, launched to accompany the release of their retake album “GREEDY DEAD SOULS / UNDERNEATH THE SKIN” last April, was enthusiastically received by the public and allowed the band to revisit their classics in a new light.
But this final was only the beginning of a new stage for the band, now celebrating 20 years in the business. At the end of the concert, lynch. unveiled the next steps in its ambitious anniversary project:
- XX act:8 - The release of a second retake album, “THE AVOIDED SUN / SHADOWS”, scheduled for September 24, 2025.
- XX act:9 - A new one-man tour titled TOUR'25「THE AVOIDED SHADOWS」, running from October to December in 14 cities across Japan.
- XX FINAL ACT - A special concert named “ALL THIS WE'LL GIVE YOU”, to be held on December 28, 2025 at the Tokyo Garden Theater, the day just after their 20th anniversary.
The forthcoming album, "THE AVOIDED SUN / SHADOWS", will feature re-recordings of tracks from their early indie years, including songs from the albums "THE AVOIDED SUN" and "SHADOWS". In all, 26 tracks will be revisited with the intensity and maturity of the current members, for a renewed experience that will speak to both die-hard fans and those who have recently joined the lynch universe. The disc will also include a brand-new song composed for the occasion, as well as a Blu-ray with the video for the new track and its making-of.
To accompany these announcements, a new visual has been unveiled: the members appear clad in black leather in front of a metal shutter, in a setting reminiscent of the dark, stylized universe of SHADOWS (2009), with a contemporary touch that heightens the expectations surrounding this release even further.
With this second instalment of the anniversary project, lynch. confirms not only its attachment to its roots, but also its ability to reinvent itself. See you in September for the continuation of a celebration that will undoubtedly mark the band's history!

Pour accompagner ces annonces, un nouveau visuel a été dévoilé : les membres apparaissent vêtus de cuir noir devant un volet métallique, dans une mise en scène qui rappelle l’univers sombre et stylisé de SHADOWS (2009), avec une touche contemporaine qui attise encore davantage les attentes autour de cette sortie.
Avec ce second volet du projet anniversaire, lynch. confirme non seulement son attachement à ses racines mais aussi sa capacité à se réinventer. Rendez-vous en septembre pour la suite d’une célébration qui marquera sans aucun doute l’histoire du groupe !
